Class 1, Senior cow 3 years and over with own calf/calve at foot
Placings

A very good class of cows which was extremely difficult to make comment on. We have exhibitor who is showing a dry cow one with a newborn and three cows with calves at foot.
1st I have placed the Benscroft cow in 1st. She is displaying the ability to be a good milk producer which is reflected in her calf. This cow would be a welcome addition to any herd.
2nd I place the Sandrain cow 2nd. I really like this cow as she displays softness throughout. While lighter in body condition she has proven milking ability which is displayed in her calf.
3rd I place the Davey entry, Shady Creek Fina 3rd. Even though she is a fresh cow. She has a strong udder that will be able to hold lots of milk when she comes on. For me she has the makings of a being a excellent matron and is displaying great length. I would like, to see her calf at a similar age of the entries above.

Class 2, Junior cow with or without own calf calves at foot
Placing

Once a gain a very strong class of females.
I place the Benscroft entry first due to her proven mothering ability which is reflects by a very sappy calf at foot.
In Second I place the Winswood entry. She displays a good muscling and a strong top line and. Hopefully these traits will come out in her calf.
Taking nothing away from the The Sandy Creek entry unfortuatelly she was over powered by stronger cattle on the day.

Class 3, Yearling heifer
Placement.

A really difficult pair of females to separate.
As I was going through the photos this female, I am placing first caught my eye straight away she is displaying good muscle development for her age and stands well on her feet.
Therefore, First, place goes to the Hodder entry
The Benscroft entry second. Both entries are excellent examples of what breeders should be aiming for in their young stock to further develop their herds.

Class 4, Heifer calf
Placings;

An extremely difficult class to pass comment on due to the vast difference in ages, as we have two entries approaching being weened through to, two entries several weeks old.
The Benscroft entry has been placed into first position as she overpowers all of the other entries. She is in excellent condition and showing good conformation.
In second place I found that I was going back to the photos comparing structure, age and type and with lots of flicking back and forth
I have place Tulum Gully Carmel second, due to the rear photo as this entry is displaying sound feet and leg placement.
Third placing goes to Sandrian Park Royal Deborah Harry I just thought that in this set of photos the leg placement may be a little better.
Taking nothing away from Shady Creek she displays excellent type and was most likely lazy when the photo rear was taken

Class 5, Senior bull 3 years and over
Placements

Unfortunately, this class relied heavily on how well the photos told a story. This class of bulls does the breed justice, and each would look good in any homestead paddock.
In first place, I place Shady Creek Foster this bull displays all the correct traits and the photo would make the centre fold of any cow magazine.
Second place goes to Lyndon Lodge Harrison once again this photo is displaying the strong traits of the breed.
I place Third Winswood Henry, this bull displays great length which relates back to yield and in turn to $.
